from the origin (center of the LH2 target) to the center of the
counters are known. The angle q 1n can be calculated

and E g 2(n,t) is obtained for each combination of
neutron counter n and tag counter t. As displayed in
Fig. 6.2, the values for E g 2 are between 68 and 75
MeV. The energy Es deposited in the CsI-array is calculated
from the experimental data. The normalized energy En for each
event isBefore normalizing the energy Es deposited in the CsI-array to 70 MeV, several corrections have to be applied to the experimental data, which are described below. The experimental data of one run are analyzed in two iterations: In the first iteration, pedestal and gain values are calculated and in the second iteration the corrected data were used to calculate the deposited energy Es for each event.
