The Pion Beta Histo Definitions

PiBeta histos are divided into two groups, low level and high level.  Low level histograms are assigned IDs = 10000-99999 and are intended for variables that are relevant  to the health of the detector and integrity of the raw data or in some way help diagnose problems with the trigger or beam.  High level histos (ID=100000+) are used for calculating physics quantities requiring substantial event reconstruction or analysis.


Low Level

Most low-level quantities such as raw PMT ADCs, TDCs, MWPC wires and pedestals are packed into 2D histos, with the y-axis representing the detector element:  PMT, wire number, ADC,TDC channel etc.  The following table lists the histogram ID assignments, along with the analyzer modules which book and fill them and links to typical histograms one should see during a run.
