This very thin coaxial cable is used for our MWPC between the wires and the preamplifiers. The advantage compared to ribbon-ax cable is that a bunch of 16 individual coax cables is much thinner and more flexible, while it is still a 50 Ohm cable. The attenuation is much higher like on RG-58, but for lengths of ~1.5m this does not hurt much.
